No, this is not the official press photos Nokia Mirage (Shadow), but we must admit, we certainly would not mind if it really such a debut. Word is that this upcoming Motorola Android handset, which looks like a trimmed down their popular twin Droid / Milestone, may actually be a Nexus Enterprise Two phone mentioned in the recent news. Specifications reported from Mirage Motorola saliva, of course, and certainly makes it worth the upgrade to the Nexus One.
There is no strong evidence to support this course, but given how Motorola has helped in increasing the popularity of Android phone platform Droid, not exactly take a genius to know why Google would want to partner with Nokia for the next handset they offer. Read the rest of this entry »
Will Google Apps Make The Nexus One Enterprise Ready
At CES this past week, Google executive Andy Rubin said that the next version of the Nexus One phone will be for the enterprise. It could have a physical keyboard.
Our bet is that Google Apps will be tightly integrated into the Nexus One enterprise phone. Google syncs every Android phone to a Google account. The next step seems logical. Sync Google Apps with the Android.
With Google Apps integrated, a customer could assign employees a Nexus One smartphone that is tied centrally to the account. As described on Ars Technica, each device could have its own Google Voice number. The smartphones could be then distributed to employees. Billing would be centralized and the employees would have a managed suite of applications for email, messaging, calendering, contacts and more. Read the rest of this entry »

Last Tuesday, Google finally confirmed it was entering the hardware market with the launch of its mobile handset. The Nexus One is made to Google’s specifications by HTC, a Taiwanese company, and runs the latest version of Android software, an open source operating system already running on some handsets, including those made by HTC, and Motorola.
Salivating over a head-to-head competition between Google, Apple and the mainstream news media made so much of it as they could. The BBC has even sent its technology correspondent, Rory Cellan-Jones, to Google’s headquarters, where he obeyed has asked whether the company thought its new mobile competition for Apple’s iPhone would give. The Google spokeswoman waffled, but need not have bothered. The reality is that, in most respects, the Google phone is inferior to the products of Apple. Read the rest of this entry »

The Nexus One smartphone might be a fun phone for consumers, but Google is aiming for the business-minded customer with its handset, says Google’s Andy Rubin, quoted by Reuters.
Manufactured by HTC, maker of other Android phones (G1, MyTouch 3G, Hero), the Nexus One is a nice addition to the consumer line-up of Android smartphones, but doesn’t have the business users at heart due to the lack of a physical keyboard.
But Google is planning to address this issue with the next version of the Nexus One (Nexus Two?), which will feature a hardware keyboard. The Google exec, who was behind the creation of the Android OS, didn’t give any other details in his interview with Wall Street Journal’s Walt Mossberg. Read the rest of this entry »
