Sharp Plans on Exporting More Cell Phones Internationally
Although Sharp is the biggest cell phone manufacturer in Japan (in terms of market share), the company is uncomfortable seeing the domestic market getting smaller. The SH6230C, which comes in blue and white, is the first solar mobile phone that Sharp would market outside Japan. It will become available for Chinese users this February, costing about US$500, but Sharp announces that the solar powered phone may hit the shelves of other countries as well.
